New Directions Education is delighted to be supporting a specialist Primary SEND school on the Wirral, and we are currently looking to recruit a SEND Teacher to join their team on a regular ad hoc basis, with a strong possibility of long-term work for the right candidate.

About the Role:
This rewarding role involves teaching pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, MLD, SLD, communication difficulties and SEMH challenges. Class sizes are small, with strong support from dedicated teaching assistants, allowing you to provide highly personalised and nurturing learning experiences.
The school is known for its supportive staff team, positive atmosphere, and commitment to helping every child achieve their full potential.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
– Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
– Supporting children with complex learning needs
– Working closely with TAs and therapists
– Implementing personalised learning plans (EHCP-led)
– Creating a calm, structured and supportive classroom environment
– Using creativity, patience and adaptive teaching strategies
We’re Looking For:
– A qualified teacher (ECTs and experienced teachers welcome)
– Experience working in SEND or mainstream with additional needs
– A warm, resilient and nurturing approach
– Flexibility to pick up regular ad hoc work
– Enthusiasm for SEND education and child-centred learning
