Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic physiotherapist to join our Band 6 rotation scheme on a fixed term 12 month contract to cover for maternity leave. The role involves providing physiotherapy to relevant patients within respiratory, in a range of settings including inpatients, outpatients and patient homes.
Responsibilities
* Complete rotations in acute respiratory medicine, including the physiotherapy‑led non‑invasive ventilation service.
* Work in critical care and surgery covering head and neck (maxilla‑facial and ENT), abdominal (including oesophagogastric, pancreaticohepatic and colorectal surgery), breast and gynae‑oncology surgery.
* Provide cardiac rehabilitation, pulmonary rehabilitation and respiratory outpatient services.
* Facilitate early supported discharge within A&E and MAU.
* Contribute to the emergency respiratory on‑call rota.
Qualifications
* Excellent communication and team‑working skills.
* Completed core junior rotations including ITU, Medicine / Elderly care, neurology and orthopaedics.
* HPC and CSP registration.
* Previous NHS experience.
Professional Development and Supports
The physiotherapy department is committed to providing excellent patient care across seven days. You will receive clinical supervision and a comprehensive in‑service training programme. You will be supported by an experienced team of lead respiratory physiotherapists, including a clinical specialist physiotherapist and a consultant respiratory physiotherapist. You will have the opportunity to develop senior skills through supervision of juniors and students and involvement in audit and service development.
