Joinery Workshop SupervisorMeridian are working with a growing commercial fit-out company who specialise in commercial refurbishments and shopfitting projects.With increasing projects demands, they are growing their workshop team in Sheffield and looking to hire a Workshop Supervisor who has a background in bench joinery/carpentry to drive the team and help expand on this growth period.Benefits include (but are not exclusive to):Startinghourly rate between £16 - £18/hr (DoE)Additional overtime and hours available (if desired)Immediate start available (subject to successful application process)Joining agrowing team with a growing niche, supporting their Sheffield workshopCareer progression and training opportunities (if desired)Full company pension schemeRequirements for this role:NVQ in Joinery with relevantCSCS cardExperience in site or bench joinerySSSTS or equivalent supervisory/management qualification requiredProven experience inworkshop production (hospitality or retail preferred)Experience managing joiners and tradesmenStrong ability to read and work from technical drawingsExcellent finishing skills and eye for detailThorough understanding of shopfloor equipment and the relevant Health & Safety required to operate itAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness to work flexible hours when requiredDuties include (but are not exclusive to):Help manufacture bespoke Joinery such as tables, seating, vendor kiosks, bars etc. from timber and sheet materialsAct as the senior point of contact for the other bench joiners, providing technical guidance, working collaboratively, delegating workOrder timber, hardware, and workshop consumablesAttending production meetings to confirm production lists for onsite teamsOrganise the workshop floor so that finished items are protected, labelled, and ready for deliveryOperation and maintenance of the woodworking machinery and workshop toolingInterpret and interrogate technical drawings and project specsImplement quality checks at every production stageCollaborate seamlessly with our design and site teams to ensure workshop production aligns with real-time site installation windowsMaintaining a clean, organised, and efficient workspaceUphold rigorous Health & Safety standards, ensuring all work adheres to RAMS and workshop best practices at all timesIfyou're looking for a role as a Joinery Workshop Supervisor in a growing division then please apply directly to the advert or emailfor more information.Meridian Business Support is a recruitment specialist acting on behalf of our client as an Employment Agency for this vacancy.TPBN1_UKTJ
