The Role
We are recruiting a skilled and enthusiastic Teacher of Design & Technology to join a well-established 11–19 secondary school in Northumberland. This role offers the opportunity to teach across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 available for candidates with the relevant experience or specialism.
The department delivers a broad and practical curriculum, potentially including Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, Graphics or Construction. You will inspire students to develop creativity, technical precision and problem-solving skills while preparing them effectively for GCSE and A-Level assessments.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality Design & Technology lessons
* Teach practical and theory components safely and effectively
* Prepare students for GCSE (and A-Level where applicable)

* Assess, monitor and track pupil progress
* Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities
The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Strong subject knowledge within a DT specialism
* Experience teaching GCSE (KS5 desirable)
* Confident classroom and workshop management skills
* Commitment to high expectations and inclusive practice
