A warm and inclusive primary school in Cwmbran is seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Nursery and Reception. Starting in November 2025, this rewarding role offers the chance to make a real difference during the crucial early stages of learning and development.
The Role
As part of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team, you’ll help children access learning through play, structure, and encouragement. You’ll provide individual and small group support, focusing on communication, social development, and emotional wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support daily learning activities and classroom routines
* Assist with implementing individual support plans
* Encourage participation through play-based learning
* Promote communication, confidence, and independence

We’re looking for someone who is:
* Patient, caring, and dependable
* Passionate about inclusion and early education
* Experienced in a school or care setting (personal experience supporting children is also valued)
* Familiar with EYFS principles and early learning methods
Requirements:
* Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* References covering the last 24 months

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
