Reliable, bubbly and organised Carers to assist on weekends for a young enthusiastic Animation student and writer in an electric wheelchair.
Responsibilities
* Washing, dressing and grooming – assist with bath, shaving, hair brushing and skincare
* Personal care – toileting, hoisting, washing
* Assist with cough‑assist machine, chest physiotherapy and manual cough assist when needed
* Make‑up and nail varnish application when required
* Cooking and food preparation – assist with meal making
* Assist pets – feeding, brushing, washing, accompany on walks and into garden
* Assist with travel – drive car, accompany on public transport to London, possible overseas travel for school
* General housekeeping – keep environment clean and tidy, wash and hoover floors, clean ensuite, change beds, tidy clutter
* Assist with washing and ironing of clothes, towels and bedsheets
* Assist with animation projects – stop‑motion recordings and model making
Hours & Pay
Hours: 8 AM – 6 PM with flexibility on weekends for nights/late. Starting Salary: £15 per hour; £16 for weekends and nights.
Requirements
* Previous care experience (preferred)
* Comfortable with dogs
* Comfortable on public transport
* Good understanding of written English
* Have a driver’s licence and be comfortable driving my vehicle
* Good time‑keeping and time‑management skills
* Good organisational skills
* Independent worker
* Calm, patient and kind temperament
