Kitchen Porter
Perth
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: 12.21 per hour
Hours: per week
A co-educational independent boarding school in Perth and Kinross, Scotland, for children aged between 12 and 18 years. Catering for just under 400 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of Breakfast, Lunch, and Supper with some high-end hospitality and summer lets as well. As this is a boarding school, it operates 7 days a week, so working patterns would be 5 out of 7 days. There is free parking available at the school.
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in Perth.
You'll play a key role in maintaining the kitchen's hygiene, safety, and cleanliness to high standards.
Key skills:
* Experience with pot wash duties is an advantage
* Excellent customer service skills
* Great team player
* Assist chefs with food prep
* Maintain high cleanliness standards at all times
* Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
* Clean heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials, including air filters and extraction systems
* Operate industrial dishwasher
We are looking for:
* Experience as a Kitchen Porter is preferred but not essential
* A can-do attitude
* Strong organizational skills
Knowledge / competencies:
* Good understanding and use of verbal English
* Good standard of written English and reading skills
* Experience in customer service or food preparation environment is preferred
