HV Substations Delivery Manager – Auckland
Join a powerhouse in New Zealand’s energy sector. We are looking for a dependable, HV Substations Delivery Manager to lead the construction and maintenance of critical high-voltage infrastructure on the Vector Network.
This is a key leadership role that ensures safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of substation projects.
The Role:As HV Substations Delivery Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of substation maintenance and construction projects—from planning and procurement to execution and close-out.
You’ll be responsible for:
* Managing diverse site teams including supervisors, electricians, substation maintainers, and apprentices.
* Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
* Overseeing maintenance scheduling, risk management, procurement, and reporting.
* Ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements, client specifications, and industry standards.
* Driving continuous improvement in substation delivery processes.
What You’ll Bring:
* Proven experience delivering high-voltage substation construction or maintenance in a managerial role.
* Strong knowledge of substation design, operations, commissioning, and maintenance.
* Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
* Strong accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
* Relevant trade or engineering qualification (Electrical Engineering preferred).
You Might Be:
* A NZ-registered Electrician, Electrical Fitter, or Line Mechanic with an HV switching ticket
* Experienced—minimum 5 years—in HV substation work (11kV–220kV), ideally with supervisory background.
* Technically sharp, with deep knowledge of HSE legislation and HV substation practices.
* EWRB Registered or degree-qualified with HV certifications (First Aid, Electrical Safety, HV Cert).
* Full valid driver’s licence.
