Role Overview
We are partnering with a well-established, forward‑thinking building services company and are recruiting an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team in Ipswich. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary organisation delivering high‑quality projects across the built environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and specification of electrical building services systems (LV distribution, lighting, fire alarms, etc.)
* Competently using AutoCAD & Revit
* Prepare technical drawings, calculations and reports
* Support project delivery from concept through to completion
* Liaise with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
* Contribute to sustainable and energy‑efficient design solutions
Requirements
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (HNC)
* Proven experience in a similar role within building services
* Knowledge of UK building regulations and industry standards
* Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
