The successful candidate will support the school's vision and implement strategies to achieve it. This is a key position during an exciting and challenging period for education at the school. Inveralmond Community High School is a comprehensive, non-denominational school located in the Ladywell area of Livingston, serving a cluster of six primary schools.
The school currently has a roll of 1,000 students and provides a supportive environment with a strong focus on raising standards.
The school offers a broad curriculum from first year to sixth year, including full curriculum provision. The successful candidate will have the experience and leadership skills to lead a team and support the principles of Curriculum for Excellence, contributing to the authority's improvement agenda. They will also hold full responsibility for STEM subjects.
Effective teaching and learning are central to our work. All staff are expected to set high expectations to inspire students to reach their full potential, preparing them to be effective contributors, successful learners, confident individuals, and responsible citizens.

A relevant teaching qualification and registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland are essential.
This position involves regulated work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful candidates will need to join the PVG scheme or undergo a scheme update check before starting employment, with costs covered by the candidate. The fee for full PVG scheme membership is £59, or £18 for existing members.
