Break/Fix Printer Engineer Sheffield / Barnsley / Doncaster Covering S & DN Postcodes Salary: Up to £31,000 per annum We are currently seeking an experienced Break/Fix Printer Engineer to join our technical service team covering the Sheffield, Barnsley and Doncaster areas (S & DN postcodes). This is a field-based role focused on the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of printers and multifunction devices within customer environments. This position would suit a skilled engineer with strong fault-finding ability who is confident working independently and delivering high levels of customer service. Key Responsibilities Attend customer sites to diagnose and repair printers and multifunctional devices Carry out break/fix repairs on mono and colour laser printers and MFDs Perform preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime Install and configure new devices, including network connectivity Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and firmware-related faults Replace parts including fusers, rollers, transfer belts, drums and feed assemblies Complete service documentation accurately (job sheets, parts usage, service reports) Provide technical advice and basic user guidance to customers Maintain company vehicle, tools and stock to required standards Adhere to health & safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines at all times Technical Skills & Experience Required Proven experience as a Break/Fix Printer Engineer or MFD Field Engineer Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical and electro-mechanical systems Experience working on networked printers (basic TCP/IP knowledge desirable) Confident replacing consumables and major components Experience with leading manufacturer devices advantageous Ability to work independently in customer-facing environments Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Full UK driving licence essential What We Offer Salary up to £31,000 per annum Company estate vehicle provided Tools, test equipment, laptop and mobile phone supplied Ongoing manufacturer and technical training Full-time, permanent position within a stable and supportive engineering team
