We are currently working in partnership with a public sector body in Liverpool, who are recruiting for a Finance Officer (Income) on a one year contract. The position is due to start immediately and the hourly rate of pay is £19.44 via an Umbrella company.
The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills and experience working with income, payments or financial processing.
1. Accurately allocating payments received via BACS, CHAPS, card, cheque, online, phone, and bank deposits
2. Managing all administrative duties related to income processing
3. Handling income reversals such as chargebacks, refunds, Direct Debit rejections, and unpaid cheques
4. Investigating and resolving payment and account queries via phone, email, and other channels
5. Monitoring suspense accounts and ensure unidentified payments are correctly coded
6. Keeping accurate financial records and support audits, reporting, and compliance tasks
Working hours:
7. 35 hours per week
