This is the opportunity to join a large public sector organisation within their Glasgow office. The organisation are keen to onboard a Procurement Business Partner on a permanent basis to support their current team on a variety of projects. The office is based in the city centre of Glasgow, being a short walk from both Glasgow Central and Queen Street train stations.

Your new role

1. Create and own Business Plans for strategic sourcing/tendering opportunities, where appropriate, for new contracts or contracts due to expire and areas of high spend which are not currently captured under a contract.
2. Work with the key contract stakeholders and suppliers to develop a focussed set of KPI’s for the performance of the contract.
3. Monitor, track, expedite and, where appropriate, implement variations to goods and service contracts.
4. Manage and develop the relationships with stakeholders and suppliers within your Directorate and wider business, along with key legal services providers.
5. Continue to develop and manage the use of contract terms and conditions templates.
6. Control and ensure the ongoing improvement inmercial terms for thepany and deliverable outputs across the supply chain.
7. Evaluate and advise on the scope of new and improved contracts, and the development of internal processes, systems and management procedures.
8. Participate in periodic Contract/Performance Reviews for your Contracts.
9. Assist in enhancing and implementing robust purchasing policies and procedures.
10. Continued supplier rationalisation and assisting in developing new and existing supply chain relationships.
11. Manage and mentor direct line reports (if applicable) with the aim of retaining and developing these members of staff towards a successful succession plan.
12. Some travel within the UK will be expected as part of the role (mainly Scotland).


What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will be a highly experienced procurement professional who excels at developing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You will have experience in end-to-end tendering processes, befortable managingmercial contracts within the public sector and bepetent in legal contract management. Moreover, you will boast excellent written and verbalmunication skills and be proficient in all Microsoft systems, including Excel.
