We are committed to supporting the next generation of property professionals and are offering a placement opportunity within our Sunderland Estate Agency team, where you will also gain valuable exposure working alongside our Chartered Surveyors.
This is an exciting opportunity for a student seeking a placement year as part of a property, real estate, or surveying degree. You will work closely with experienced surveyors and agency professionals, gaining a broad insight into both residential and commercial estate agency and surveying practices.
The placement will give you hands-on involvement in live projects, client interactions, and property transactions, helping you to develop key skills and experience to support your academic studies and future career.
Responsibilities:
-Supporting the residential and commercial agency team with property marketing, sales, and lettings.
-Assisting with property viewings and inspections alongside agency staff and surveyors.
-Preparing marketing materials, property particulars, and online listings.
-Conducting market research, including comparable evidence, to support valuations and reports.
-Assisting surveyors with inspections, data collection, and client reporting.
-Liaising with clients, applicants, and stakeholders under the guidance of senior colleagues.
-Providing administrative and professional support across the team.
Requirements:
-Currently studying for a property, real estate, surveying, or related degree (placement year).
-Keen interest in both estate agency and surveying as a career pathway.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
-Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks.
-Confident using Microsoft Office; familiarity with property software is beneficial but not essential.
-Full UK driving licence (essential for the placement).
