Overview
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Branch Manager on behalf of one of our clients.
To organise and manage contracts to ensure quality, safety, programme and gross objectives are achieved.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities for the Branch Manager :
* To organise, control and manage contracts department.
* To support and manage all office staff & operatives
* To monitor all contracts in conjunction with subordinates.
* To oversee and assist with the running and large contracts.
* To programme works to suit agreed programme.
* To ensure that material deliveries meet programme requirements.
* To prepare / approve subordinates, risk assessments, method statements, quality plans etc.
* To ensure that the works are carried out safely and in accordance with Company requirements.
* Record variations and advise surveyor.
* Ensure works are installed as per approved working drawings and specification.
* Liaise with company employed subcontractors to ensure work meets our requirements.
* Maintain a good working relationship with both our operatives and the main contractor / client.
* To organise plant, craneage etc to meet programme and cost plan.
* To carry out staff appraisals.
* Attend site meetings as required.
Skills and Qualifications for the Branch Manager :
1. Incumbents need to be articulate, numerate and demonstrate competence in :
2. Adaptability, business awareness, detail handling, initiative, planning and organising, plant, safety & communication.
3. A knowledge of the flat roofing industry.
4. Experience of the building and construction industry.
5. CSCS Black
6. SMSTS
7. NVQ 6 or degree in construction
8. General computer awareness.
Location : Manchester
Salary : £60,000 per annum
