We're seeking an experienced Dispatch Coordinator to join a dynamic, office-based team working closely with the Office Manager.
Hours of work:
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
This is a long-term position with the potential for permanency for the right candidate.
* Coordinate and schedule shipments, deliveries, and pickups
* Assign routes and support drivers to ensure timely deliveries
* Handle customer inquiries and provide shipping updates and ETAs
* Proactively resolve transportation issues and delays
* Maintain accurate shipment and driver records
* Negotiate delivery timelines and shipping rates
* Collaborate with the factory team to meet production and delivery timelines
* Communicate with vendors and suppliers
* Support safety compliance by enforcing protocols and procedures
Job Requirements:
* Proven experience in a similar role
* Excellent communication skills and confidence in liaising with suppliers and customers
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Good geographical knowledge of Canterbury
* Attention to detail and multitasking ability
