SENIOR PARAPLANNER

As a Senior Paraplanner you will sit at the heart of the financial planning process, working closely with Financial Planners to deliver high-quality suitability reports, portfolio reviews, and technical analysis across all areas of financial planning. You will also have line management and mentoring responsibility for other Paraplanners in the team, making this a genuine step up for someone ready to take on a broader role.
The role:
* Prepare robust suitability letters and reports across all areas of financial planning
* Conduct client portfolio reviews including investment analysis
* Provide technical support to Financial Planning Consultants and the Administration team
* Day-to-day workload management, training, and development of Paraplanners within the team
* Maintain compliance and regulatory standards across all work
* Liaise with Administration to ensure smooth processing of new business
* Attend client and product provider meetings where appropriate
What we are looking for:
* At least three years of experience in a similar paraplanning or technical role within a wealth manager or financial planning practice
* Diploma qualified (CII or CISI) and working towards Chartered Financial Planning status — ideally within 12 to 18 months
* Strong technical knowledge across financial planning, investment analysis, income tax, IHT, and trusts
* Experience of pension switches and TVAS reports
* Proficient in MS Word and Excel, comfortable with FE Analytics or equivalent, and ideally with experience of Voyant
* A solution-focused mindset and the ability to manage a demanding workload with competing priorities
