The Role Quantity Surveyor Following the award of several new contracts across Northern Ireland, our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. These are permanent positions within a well-established construction company, with opportunities based in Belfast or Cookstown. Operating across the UK and Ireland, the company delivers construction, property redevelopment, and refurbishment projects across multiple sectors. This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the successful commercial delivery of projects. Key Responsibilities Analyse construction drawings and specifications to identify labour, material, and specialist requirements Prepare enquiry documentation and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure projects remain within budget Complete monthly subcontractor valuations through to final account Prepare and submit monthly valuations to PQS, including recording additional works Liaise with clients to agree variations, rates, and cost analysis Measure works in line with contract-specific schedules of rates Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts within agreed timescales Work closely with management and accounts teams to ensure effective cost control Produce accurate monthly reports for management and client progress meetings Attend and contribute to site progress meetings Candidate Requirements Minimum 3+ years experience in a Quantity Surveying / Estimating role within a main contracting environment Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred (HND/HNC considered with relevant experience) Strong commercial awareness and cost management capability Excellent communication and negotiation skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proactive approach with strong organisational skills Proficient in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project) Whats on Offer Salary: £40,000 £55,000 (depending on experience) Company vehicle Health care package Pension scheme Opportunity to work on a range of construction and refurbishment projects Career progression within a growing organisation Supportive and collaborative team environment To Apply If you are interested in this position, please apply below.
