Leading civil engineering contractor seeks a Quantity Surveyor to join their established team and support the delivery of a variety of projects in the South West. This role is a site based role where you will be required to visit various sites in the South West but, there will be a requirement to attend meetings in their Swindon office once a week. Key Responsibilities: Manage all project costs in accordance with contractual agreements Oversee financial performance, ensuring profit targets and efficiency savings are met Administer change control processes and adhere to contractual timescales Identify and manage risks and opportunities effectively Deliver compliant procurement processes and manage the supply chain Handle commercial queries and advise on legal matters, including disputes Monitor project progress, conduct site visits, and maintain financial logs and forecasts Prepare and attend monthly cost review meetings, identifying variations and actions Ensure compliance with internal and client assurance processes and legislative requirements Work with project teams, clients, and suppliers, fostering a culture of professionalism and collaboration Job Requirements: Experience in a Quantity Surveying role Experience in a civil engineering environment Proficiency with NEC Contracts A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field Professional membership with RICS or CICES (desirable) Ability to build strong relationships and influence others Strong organisational and analytical skills Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities Benefits: Car Allowance All travel paid for Private Healthcare Pension Life Assurance cover 25 days Annual Leave (plus a day off for your birthday) Hybrid working where possible Enhanced Paternity & Maternity package Professional development opportunities If you are a confident and experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to further your career in a dynamic civil engineering environment, we would love to hear from you.
