Job Title: SEN Teacher Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent Start Date: March 2026 Salary: £34,398 - £52,490 Location: Hatfield, Hertfordshire About the Role Teach Now is recruiting for a dedicated and skilled SEN Teacher to join a supportive primary setting in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to ensuring that pupils with additional needs are supported to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, delivering tailored teaching to pupils with a range of special educational needs. You will play a key role in planning personalised learning, supporting progress, and helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and resilience. Key Responsibilities • Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons to meet a range of SEN needs • Adapt teaching strategies to support pupils with EHCPs and additional learning needs • Use assessment to track progress and inform next steps • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, the SENCo, and wider staff to provide consistent support • Create a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development • Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews and reports Requirements To be eligible for this role, applicants must have: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) • Experience teaching pupils with special educational needs in a primary setting • Strong knowledge of inclusive practice and differentiated teaching • High expectations for pupil progress and wellbeing • Availability to commit to a permanent role from the stated start date The Ideal Candidate Will • Be patient, reflective, and solutions-focused • Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills • Be flexible and responsive to individual pupil needs • Show a genuine commitment to inclusive education • Share Teach Now’s commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare What the School Can Offer • A supportive and collaborative working environment • Engaged pupils with diverse learning needs • Opportunities for professional development and SEN-focused training • A positive, inclusive culture where every child is valued Salary will be determined based on experience and position on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary of £50,474 is applicable to candidates with substantial teaching experience equivalent to M6. Why work via Teach Now?
