We are looking to recruit a Nursing Assistant to work in a busy, dynamic, and friendly Ambulatory Care Unit providing Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC).
About the Role
Within Ambulatory Care (SDEC), we care for both medical and surgical patients. We deliver care to patients with planned appointments and those referred from various services including the front door streaming service, emergency department, GPs, and urgent treatment centres.
The successful candidate will work within a dynamic nursing team. While similar experience is desirable, it is not essential, as the unit offers multiple learning opportunities.
Working Hours
The unit operates 7 days a week from 07:30 to 22:00, with various working patterns including day shifts, weekends, and bank holidays.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the team in delivering same day emergency care to all patients.
* Assist with triage and patient care.
* Perform clinical tasks such as requesting bloods, venepuncture, cannulation, ECGs, and others.
About Our Trust
We manage hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck, and Hexham, along with smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed. We also operate the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital and provide home and community-based services. Our goal is to give people greater choice and control over their care, helping them to live independently and avoid unnecessary hospital admissions. We are committed to high-quality patient care and aim to provide an exceptional experience for every patient and service user. Our extensive patient experience programme is among the most comprehensive in England.
