Pixmore has a vacancy for a Teaching & Learning Classroom Assistant with SEND/EYFS experience Start date: 1st September 2025 We are a forward-thinking school who are looking for a teaching & learning assistant with experience in working with children with SEND to join us as part of our year-group teams. The vacancy is for a September start date on a one year fixed-term contract initially, The post is to join a year group team to support both in the classroom and to run interventions for small groups of children in a variety of curriculum areas. Experience of leading and delivering intervention programmes such as speech & language, personalised programmes etc would be very welcome. The role will involve working and supporting children with additional needs in both a 1:1 capacity and small groups as well as being actively involved in daily classroom practice. Experience of working with children with additional needs is essential. We would like candidates with an understanding of or experience in early years and Key Stage 1 and/or experience working in lower KS2. The position is for 35 hours a week (8.30am - 3.30pm) for a fixed term initially and includes lunchtimes to support playground supervision; either to support specific children or to support with general playtime supervision. The post involves working to support the school’s individual EHCP plans for specific children within a year group, alongside teaching staff. We follow Herts Therapeutic Thinking approach as part of our behaviour for learning policy. We aim to support new staff with an induction package and training, some of which will be in-house. There is an expectation that the post holder would involve themselves in the life of the school and be willing to attend meetings with parents, carers and support other school activities.
