Job Overview
The Emergency Department Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) plays a vital role in delivering safe, compassionate, and high‑quality care to patients presenting with a wide range of urgent and emergency conditions. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the HCSW supports Registered Nurses, Doctors and Allied Health Professionals in the assessment, monitoring and care of patients across all areas of the Emergency Department, including majors, minors, resuscitation and triage.
Responsibilities
* Undertake delegated clinical observations of patients.
* Communicate effectively with clinical staff and patients.
* Support patient care activities across all sections of the Emergency Department.
The unit operates a variety of shift patterns to suit service requirements, including days and night rotation.
Qualifications
Desirable: Ability to speak Welsh. English is also acceptable. Basic clinical knowledge and strong communication skills are required.
