We’re recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join a well-established, family‑run business operating within the specialist machinery sector. This is a field‑based role covering customer sites across the UK, offering plenty of overtime, specialist training, and genuine progression opportunities for the right person.
This opportunity would suit someone from a background such as heavy plant, HGV, agricultural, recycling equipment, specialist vehicles, ex‑forces, or similar heavy machinery environments.
The Role
* Service, maintain and repair specialist machinery at customer sites across the UK
* Diagnose faults across mechanical, hydraulic and pump systems, with some basic electrical work involved
* Carry out planned servicing, reactive breakdown support and general fault‑finding
* Represent the business professionally on customer sites
* Travel regularly as part of a field‑based engineering role
What We’re Looking For
* Good understanding of heavy machinery
* Strong mechanical mindset with experience fault‑finding and repairing equipment
* Comfortable in a field‑based position with regular travel
* Good attitude and willingness to learn
* Someone who comes across well and fits into a close‑knit team
* Full UK driving licence
* Engineers at an earlier stage in their career will also be considered, provided they have the right attitude, solid foundations, and are keen to develop.
