We are looking for a motivated and compassionate registered pharmacy technician to join our multidisciplinary team working on an Adult Mental Health inpatient ward, either at Highbury Hospital or Sherwood Oaks (to be discussed at interview).
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting medicines administration rounds delivering safe, accurate and timely medicines.
* Provide advice on medicines use, storage and compliance.
* Promote and implement best practice in medicines optimisation and medicines management.
* Reconcile medicines on admission and discharge, ensuring continuity of care.
* Educate and support patients in understanding and managing their medication.
* Contribute to ward-based audits and quality improvement initiatives.
* Work collaboratively with pharmacists, nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a candidate that is confident in working in a multidisciplinary team environment who is passionate about patient-centred care. You must be organised, adaptable and able to work independently. You should have post qualification experience working in a hospital environment. Experience in a mental health setting is desirable but not essential.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
