An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical biased Maintenance Technician to join the growing engineering team.As maintenance technician, you'll be responsible for the continuous running of the company’s equipment and machinery assets. Using computerised systems, you'll oversee routine maintenance and organise repairs. You'll also be involved with control and monitoring devices and occasionally in the manufacture of items that will help in maintenance.This position offers extensive training development.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCompletion of Preventative Maintenance and ensuring Compliance related maintenance tasks are completed on timeProvide diagnostic support to production to help resolve reactive maintenance issuesWhere required take the lead on small projects and ensure timely completionFault finding on PLC'sDevelop new preventative maintenance tasksAct as a mechanical or electrical lead within the teamEnsure all compliance documentation is updated as requiredSupport in the continuous improvement of maintenance systemsWorking on pumps, gearboxes, motors, electrical equipment, automated filling lines, etc. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE Apprentice trained in electrical engineering.Multi-skilledExperienced in maintaining mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems.Experience within a chemical manufacturing industry will be very desirable, however, very happy to look at FMCG, heavy manufacturing, etc.Willingness to learn and develop is key.SKILLSAble to communicate at all levelsAbility to maintain a high level of discipline associated with the daily compliance of hygiene standards and the safe operation of factory equipmentHard working attitude.This company is an equal opportunity employer and value diversity.
