An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dynamic individual to join our administrative team within the Cardiology Department at QE2 Hospital.
We are looking for a candidate with excellent interpersonal skills, dedication and the confidence to deal with a wide range of matters with diplomacy. An understanding of the NHS is essential, together with advanced IT skills.
Patient administration experience, experience in working with people and the ability to adapt to change while managing and prioritising a heavy workload, in a fast developing environment is essential.
This role will include weekend working on a rota basis.
In addition, you will receive a High-Cost Area Supplement of 5% of your basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £1,303 and a maximum payment of £2,198 per annum pro rata.

Main duties of the job
The Receptionist/Admin Support will provide efficient administrative support and reception duties in all aspects of the department’s work as directed by the Admin Supervisor.
The post holder will deal with patient enquiries and supporting the admin team. Deal with telephone enquiries from patients, staff, other departments, other hospitals, and GP’s where necessary.
Train fellow colleagues & new staff in role to be multiskilled & standardise processes across Trust to be able to cross cover other staff & support the department during leave of absences.
To be able to prioritise own workload & work independently using initiative and deal with frequent interruptions is essential.
