Join Our Dynamic Onsite Warehouse Team at IPL Whittlesey. We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Mover to become a vital part of our onsite Warehouse Team at our House Plants & Flowers site in Whittlesey. If you are passionate about Production & Warehouse and eager to contribute to a dynamic team, this role is perfect for you!
Position Details:
Schedule: Sunday - Thursday - 8:00am - 4:45pm
Location: IPL Whittlesey - Site Based Role
Contract Type: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
* Safely load all pallets, ensuring each carries the company's pallet ID, destination, and mixed pallet labels
* Perform MHE truck duties as required, conducting thorough daily safety checks and adhering to warehouse guidelines
* Store, handle, and transport stock securely, complying with company procedures, food hygiene legislation, and health and safety guidelines
* Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness in the workplace, ensuring compliance with company and legislative standards
* Accurately scan all products to their locations
* Ensure labels consistently match the physical products
* Operate MHE machinery correctly, following the Endorsement and Health and Safety Policies
* Provide training and guidance to newly appointed or less experienced colleagues
* Assist in managing product flow through the warehouse, reporting defects or poor quality to the Line Leader
What We Are Looking For
Essential:
* Previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment
* Strong practical skills with the ability to work quickly and methodically
* Understanding of warehousing processes and procedures
* Proficiency in accurately scanning products into system locations using an RF Gun
* Ability to push and pull pallet trucks
* Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure
* Flexibility
Desirable:
* Forklift Truck Licence
* PPT Licence
* Product knowledge (Goods In)
* Understanding of good manufacturing practices
* Understanding of technical requirements and procedures
