Description
As a Data Analyst at Zenergi, you will work as part of the Data Team to support the wider business in meeting their reporting and data requirements. You will design, build, and maintain data solutions, author BI reports and dashboards across various areas of the business to ensure colleagues and customers have access to useful and understandable information. You will also actively participate in the Power BI community of practice, helping non-IT users leverage their data.
Key Responsibilities
* Take full ownership of assigned projects and BAU tasks.
* Design and develop customer-facing dashboards.
* Encourage and mentor a culture of self-serve reporting and personal development.
* Develop team dashboards and reports in Power BI.
* Design and build bespoke reports and tools in Excel, including SQL-based and Power Query solutions.
* Collaborate with in-house developers to deliver data aspects of systems.
* Assist business and operations users with self-serve reporting.
* Monitor data integrity within key systems, providing feedback and prevention solutions.
* Record and update work on the Project Management System (Azure DevOps).
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
* GCSE (or equivalent) at grade C or above in English and Maths.
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computing, Software Development, or a related field.
* Full UK driving license.
* Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL and Excel.
* Proven experience in data analysis, working with complex data from various sources.
* Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to gather data and implement reports and visualizations.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Experience Required
* Experience with data visualization tools, preferably Power BI or similar.
* Experience in a data analyst role.
* Experience in a proactive analytics environment.
* Experience working in the Utilities sector.
