PART-TIME RECEPTIONIST/ADMINISTRATOR REQUIRED
We are seeking a flexible, friendly, and enthusiastic individual to join our GP Practice reception and administration team.
The role is for 29 hours per week:
* Monday 08:30 - 13:30
* Thursday 13:30 - 18:30
* Friday 13:30 - 18:30
The surgery hours are from 8 am to 6:30 pm.
Main duties of the job
Experience required:
You should have strong interpersonal skills and confidence in dealing with patients both on the telephone and in person. Confidentiality is essential. Previous experience in administration, prescription preparation, and reception duties would be advantageous. Computer literacy and a desire to grow within the organization are also important. Training on our clinical system (SystmOne) will be provided.

The role involves assisting the Practice team, providing excellent service to patients and visitors, and supporting administrative tasks to ensure smooth practice operations.
Key duties include:
* Monitoring appointment systems
* Handling appointment requests and directing patients appropriately
* Managing incoming and outgoing mail
* Taking messages and passing information
* Filing, data entry, and record keeping
* Communicating with patients and healthcare providers
* Maintaining clinical and reception areas
* Assisting with various administrative tasks such as reordering supplies, scanning mail, preparing lab cards, and processing prescriptions
* Supporting confidentiality, health & safety, equality, and diversity policies
* Participating in training and professional development
* Contributing to quality and continuous improvement initiatives
* Effective communication within the team and with patients
Person Specification
Qualifications:
* Good general education
* GCSE Mathematics C or above
* GCSE English C or above
* NVQII in Customer Care
Experience:
* Experience working with the public
* Reception work experience
* Experience in General Practice
