Job Title: Environmental Sales Manager
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + OTE + Benefits
Location: Yorkshire / North East (with national remit)
About the Role
We are seeking a driven and commercially minded Sales Manager to join a well-established environmental services business operating within the soil and waste management sector. This role is focused on delivering sustainable growth, developing long‑term client relationships, and providing tailored technical solutions to customers across the region and beyond. Working closely with internal technical, operational, and senior management teams, you will take ownership of a defined sales territory while contributing to wider business strategy and performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain strong, trust‑based relationships with clients and project partners.
* Assess incoming enquiries and issue accurate quotations within 24 hours in line with KPIs.
* Develop and deliver regional business plans and sales strategies aligned to company objectives.
* Support and contribute to marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives.
* Conduct client visits for soil sampling, site assessments, and sales meetings.
* Collaborate with technical teams to optimise solutions for hazardous and non‑hazardous soil disposal.
* Promote value‑added services including waste brokering and on‑site contracting.
* Liaise with operations to ensure service delivery aligns with site capacity and customer needs.
* Maintain accurate records of pricing, sales activity, and reporting.
* Monitor competitor activity and market trends to support growth strategies.
Skills & Attributes
* Strong knowledge of the environmental, waste, or soil services market within Yorkshire / North East.
* Proven business development and client management capability.
* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
