BIM / Revit Engineer – Civil (Utilities & Energy Infrastructure)

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 depending upon experience
Turner Lovell is shortlisting a BIM / Revit Engineer with a civil engineering background to support major UK utilities and energy infrastructure projects. Our client is a leading contractor across power networks, renewables and utilities. You’ll deliver coordinated BIM models and construction drawings for substation civils, cable routes, foundations, compounds, drainage, and site infrastructure—without naming the client.
About the role:
Participate in day-to-day Revit modelling for HV substations and associated construction activity. Focusing on drawing production, collaborating with civil/structural engineers and site teams to produce buildable, clash-free designs that meet UK standards and client BIM requirements.
Key responsibilities
* Build and manage federated Revit models for civils: foundations, plinths, trenches, ducts, drainage, access roads, fencing, platforms.
* Produce GA plans, sections, details, schedules; support RC detailing and setting-out packs.
* Coordinate with structures, electrical and MEP; run clash detection and resolve issues
* Deliver BIM Execution outputs to ISO 19650
* Incorporate survey and utilities data; manage revisions, drawing registers, and approvals.
* Support value engineering, buildability reviews, and quantities/digital take-offs.
* Interface with construction teams to translate design into clear deliverables.
Requirements
* HNC/HND or degree in Civil Engineering (or related).
* Strong Revit skills for civil/structural elements; familiarity with Civil 3D and Navisworks.
* Experience producing civils models/drawings for utilities, substations, or infrastructure projects.
* Working knowledge of UK standards and ISO 19650; confident in model coordination/clash management.
* Clear communicator, organised, and deadline-focused; comfortable working with engineers, clients, and site teams.
