Purpose of Position
An exciting opportunity for an industrial/commercial gas engineer to work with a wide range of industrial ovens, paint spray booths and air handling units. We are looking for an intelligent, and knowledgeable engineer to join our team. We want to find someone who is competent in their skills, can solve problems, and adapt to changing environments. We envisage that for an engineer with the right vision and commitment this position will develop into a senior service engineer/service manager position - having a direct role in the development of the company.
* To be trained to become a fully qualified industrial/commercial gas engineer
* Diagnose, service, repair, modify, refurbish, and install all types of industrial process equipment as required.
* Complete both routine and ad-hoc servicing work.
* Commissioning of new ovens and process burners.
* Carry out LEV testing on a wide range of extraction plant (full training to be provided).
* Complete inspections, risk assessments, and recommended work.
* Liaise with customers both on and off-site to ensure high levels of customer service.
* Work within all regulations, legal requirements and adhere to all company policies.
* Ensure statutory works are carried out on time and that work is compliant.
* This role will also require working at height, PASMA, and IPAF skills. - training will be provided.
This position is based in Rochdale Greater Manchester.
Skills Required
Domestic gas and electrical experience would be ideal.
Full Driving Licence.
Competency in Microsoft Office - preferred.
Basic Administration - preferred.

Hours of Work
Early starts and late returns, however there are also late starts and early returns.
Occasional Saturday work.
Very occasional Sunday.
Requirement to work away and stay in hotels.

Works Vehicle
There will a works van provided but not allowed for personal use.
Tablet
Will be provided to communicate with each other, (e mails, photos, scheduling of jobs).
Expenses
* Fixed £7.00 is allowed for every day you get up early for breakfast (it's up to the individual if they use it)
* Fixed £7.00 for the following days dinner (if staying over)
* Max of £30.00 for an evening meal, must get a receipt
* Take own meals for normal day and on the 1st day if staying away
Probation and Training
4 month probation period.
Training provided.

Uniform on site all work wear will be provided.
