Robert Half are supporting a leading charity in the search for an experienced Head of Financial Planning & Analysis on a 12-month maternity cover contract.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this role will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial insight to support strategic decision-making. It requires strong leadership, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to deliver clear, data-driven analysis within a complex organisation.

Salary: Up to £66,950
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Central, Bristol
Hybrid: Two days a week in the office
You will be responsible for:
1. Lead on financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
2. Provide strategic analysis and insight to senior leadership
3. Manage and develop a small FP&A team
4. Partner with stakeholders across the organisation to drive informed decisions
5. Oversee monthly management reporting and long-term financial modelling
6. Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with charity regulations
7. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and the Board
8. Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights
9. Support delivery of the organisation's strategic and operational goal
Required experience/background:
10. Qualified Accountant or QBE with senior finance and FP&A experience
11. Strong track record in managing and delivering budgets, forecasts, and monthly reporting
12. Proven ability to identify, drive, and manage change within a Finance function
13. Excellent management and leadership skills
14. High attention to detail and accuracy
15. Skilled at prioritising conflicting demands and managing stakeholder expectations
