Description
* Prepare and review financial statements to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
* Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
* Analyse financial data to support strategic decision-making within the organisation.
* Manage cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting activities effectively.
* Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.
* Ensure compliance with tax regulations and submit necessary filings.
* Provide guidance and support to junior members of the accounting team.
* Develop and implement process improvements within the finance function.
Profile
A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:
* A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or equiv).
* SOX experience
* Experience in financial reporting, compliance, and analysis within the accounting and finance field.
* Strong technical accounting skills, including knowledge of IFRS or UK GAAP.
* An analytical mindset with the ability to provide insights to support business decisions.
* Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
