Research Manager - legal research, leading law firm - home based with some travel to an office, offices in multiple UK locations Our client is a rapidly growing and innovative law firm that has been recognized multiple times as the Law Firm of the Year. With a focus on client-centric solutions and a strong commitment to employee development, they are dedicated to leading the way in legal and regulatory awareness. This role is home based. Every fortnight it will require travel to an office, they have offices in a number of UK locations.
Key Responsibilities: Manage a team of 4 Researchers, acting as a point of escalation for legal research requests.
Lead the development of an agile firmwide media monitoring & horizon scanning service.
Project management of client-focused media horizon scanning projects.
Oversee the current awareness/horizon scanning service provided by the Researchers.
Manage content aggregation/media monitoring software systems.
Collaborate with the Research Manager on the business research team on research projects supporting bids and business development activities.
Coordinate and manage sizeable and complex research projects.
Provide line management to a small team, including setting goals and managing wellbeing.
Ensure the quality of outputs and handle day-to-day issues that arise in research delivery.
Provide training and development on legal research tools for lawyers.
Qualifications Required: A degree or equivalent experience in communications, media, research, information management, librarianship, or related field.
Professional experience in news/press/media monitoring and horizon scanning analysis.
Management experience or potential for managerial duties.
Familiarity with research tools and resources.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build productive working relationships.
Demonstrated analytical ability and excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Project management skills with strong time management and organizational abilities.
Personable demeanor with a proven track record in stakeholder consultation and interaction.
