Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled
DV Cleared DevOps Engineer
to support mission-critical government platforms in a secure environment. This is a hands-on role within a multidisciplinary engineering team, focused on infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and cloud-native operations. You will work on high-impact projects that require DV clearance, contributing to national-level initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, build, and manage CI/CD pipelines to support secure software delivery.
* Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
* Deploy and manage containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
* Automate configuration management and system provisioning.
* Work in air-gapped or restricted environments with offline deployment patterns.
* Support operational teams in monitoring, logging, and system observability.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues across infrastructure, networks, and applications.
* Ensure compliance with MOD/NCSC security guidelines and governance policies.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Active UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance

must be current and in use.
* 4+ years of DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering experience.
* Strong hands-on experience with:
* CI/CD tools:
Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
* IaC tools:
Terraform, Ansible, Packer.
* Containers & orchestration:
Docker, Kubernetes (or OpenShift).
* Deep knowledge of secure networking principles, firewalls, and VPNs.
* Experience operating in
air-gapped or classified environments.
* Proficient in Bash, Python, or Go for automation.
* Version control using Git (GitLab, GitHub Enterprise, Bitbucket).
Desirable Skills:
* Familiarity with AWS/Azure cloud services in secure contexts.
* Experience with secure artefact repositories (e.g., Nexus, Artifactory).
* Monitoring tools (e.g., ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana).
* Experience with Agile and DevSecOps principles.
* Exposure to MOD, HMG, or NCSC-compliant environments.
