We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Vehicle Technician to join a busy automotive operation in Doncaster. This is a hands-on role within a workshop environment, carrying out maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a range of vehicles.
The Role:
As a Mechanical Vehicle Technician, your responsibilities will include:
1. Carrying out mechanical repairs and maintenance on vehicles
2. Diagnosing faults and identifying appropriate repair methods
3. Completing routine servicing and inspections to ensure vehicles meet required standards
4. Using diagnostic tools and equipment where required
5. Working from job cards and following workshop procedures
6. Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
7. Maintaining accurate records of work carried out
8. Supporting the wider workshop team to meet daily targets
The Person:
9. Previous experience in a mechanical or vehicle technician role
10. Strong understanding of vehicle systems and mechanical components
11. Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently
12. Relevant qualification (Level 2/3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) preferred
13. Good attention to detail and a quality-focused approach
14. Able to work independently and as part of a team
15. Strong communication skills
