Responsibilities
* Take action to champion a strong safety culture, maintain high standards, and drive continuous improvement through best practice and learning.
* Plan, manage, coordinate and monitor construction activities where NRS is acting as the Principal Contractor, including the review and acceptance of method statements, risk assessments, Safe Systems of Work and all relevant documentation with diligence and ownership.
* Oversee external principal contractors who undertake construction activities onsite and help to facilitate the safe delivery of the construction work.
* Demonstrate flexibility and support others while adapting confidently to changing demands, promoting positive safety and strong planning and coordination.
* Work closely with other site engineers and support the Construction Manager and Senior Site Engineer to ensure work is undertaken safely, compliantly and in a timely manner.

Qualifications
* Essential construction safety qualifications such as CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme or a NEBOSH Construction Certificate, alongside strong Construction Design Management experience.
* Proven essential experience managing or supervising construction activities and supported by an HNC/NVQ Level 5 or equivalent technical background.
* A thorough understanding of local procedures, rules and company instructions, ensuring safe, compliant and effective project delivery.
It would be advantageous to have asbestos knowledge, training and experience but this is not essential.
