As a leading research-led university, our community relies on excellent network connectivity to support its wide range of activities.
This role is in the Operations section of our business critical Networks & Data Centres team responsible for deploying and maintaining our campus-wide network and data centre infrastructure under the leadership of the Network Engineer (Operations Coordinator). You will work closely with other members of the Network team and other teams within IT Services and from across the wider University.
With an ability to prioritise their own activities, alongside a desire to deliver key customer-focussed services, the post holder will play a key role in ensuring network related services are delivered effectively and efficiently, supporting the business objectives of the University.

Skills, Experience & Qualification needed
11. Level 3 qualification. (Qualifications at this level include a degree. Please view the full list). We also welcome applicants with equivalent non-uk qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
12. Experience of working as part of a multi-skilled IT network team within a large and complex organisation, with an understanding of IT networking, constituent components and associated protocols.
13. Demonstrable ability to work under time-based pressure, either when resolving issues or deploying services to meet business critical deadlines.
14. Ability to create and share relevant information with colleagues at differing levels.
15. Ability to prioritise workloads with the minimum of supervision, with good time management skills; analyse and resolve issues with a dynamic and proactive approach, either as part of a team or working independently
16. Excellent customer-facing skills, with a focus on improving customer experience.
17. Evidence of upholding our behaviours as specified in the job description.
