We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Retail Excellence Manager on a fixed term basis for 12 months.Reporting to the Head of Commercial Retail, Food & Beverage, the primary role will be to develop and implement the retail excellence strategy across the business to help optimise revenue growth and EBITDA.The role covers both shoreside and on-board areas of the business- including terminals, high speed, vending and ferries. The role will also be responsible for coordinating & leading annual promotional activities and working with our island-based retail suppliers.You will generally be working Monday to Friday, based primarily at our Head Office at Bugle Street in Southampton.Main Duties:Supporting the Head of Commercial Retail, Food & Beverage in the formulation, development, and execution of a detailed retail strategy to drive spend whilst improving overall customer satisfaction.Responsible for the procurement of product/range- working with a diverse and extensive supplier base to secure the most suitable and best quality product at the most competitive price for the business.Manage the retail assortment, product placement / category development to grow sales, reduce known/unknown loss and drive profitability.Make use of data analysis to identify, define and adapt the retail business to changing trends, consumer behaviours and seasonal variances to ensure the customer retail proposition remains relevant.Monitor Red Funnel’s portfolio of outlets with a view to optimising sales and driving customer satisfaction- must consistently look for new opportunities to grow/ adapt/ define the proposition.Work closely with operational teams to ensure that retail delivery is in accordance with the C&R strategy and that feedback from the operational teams is incorporated into development / future plans.Ensure promotional activity, in conjunction with Marketing and Operational teams, delivers maximum impact and seamless delivery to maximise return on investment.In addition to the responsibilities listed, the jobholder is required to perform other duties from time to time to support the Head of Commercial Retail, Food & Beverage, and the wider business.Support the EPOS Manager with programming & including accurate and up to date supplier and product information - i.e. pricing, promotions, recipes models, cost files.Act as the first point of contact for all retail merchandising queries within the business.Assist in the period end reporting process so that all information is collated in an accurate and timely manner - this will primarily be for the commercial team but will extend to other channels within the business (finance and operations).Vending- responsible for the commercial decision making in this field- including range/ price/ promotions/ manufacturer relationships.Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contractContract length: 12 monthsPay: £29,640.00 per yearBenefits:Company eventsCycle to work schemeDiscounted or free foodFree parkingHealth & wellbeing programmeOn-site parkingReferral programmeWork from homeSchedule:Monday to Friday
