Provide Test Engineering support to the NPI team, working on the test strategy and test implementation for concepts / early development prototypes.
Salary: Circa £50,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 4 or 5 days per week on-site due to workload classification

The opportunity:
This role is for a Senior Test Engineer supporting test and diagnostics of electrical/electronic sub-systems and circuit cards throughout the product lifecycle. Responsibilities include supporting test capability, ensuring programme targets are met in time, cost, and quality.
* Supporting Test Engineering during design, development, and production phases.
* Supporting test facility introduction and configuration control, including test specifications and operator instructions.
* Testing electrical/electronic sub-assemblies and diagnosing failures to component level.
* Collaborating with operations, design teams, and stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.
* Ensuring compliance with programme and quality requirements, maintaining governance, and pursuing continuous improvement.
* Working with Test TXs and designers to implement project test strategies and influence design for testability.
* Creating initial process flows and maintaining test equipment documentation.
* Supporting FMEA, test fixture design, and test instruction compilation.
* Estimating testing time and validating UPC/DTCR with BCF.
* Assisting in functional and ESS testing of prototypes.
You will work with a dedicated team in a fast-paced, inclusive environment, supporting various missile systems in development and production.
What we're looking for:
* Technical apprenticeship to Level 3 (NVQ) or equivalent
* OR BEng/BSc in relevant engineering/technical degree
* Experience in digital and analogue electronics manufacturing and testing
* Understanding of measurement, test principles, and fault diagnosis
* Experience with manual and automated test equipment, preferably in defence or similar environments
* Familiarity with ERP and manufacturing systems (e.g., SAP, MES)
* Strong planning, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
