Recpetion Teacher - Royston - Full time - April start
A welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Royston is seeking a passionate and motivated Reception Teacher to join their Early Years team for a fixed-term position initially for one term, with the potential for extension. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative school environment with strong staff retention and a positive team culture. The successful Reception Teacher will work alongside an experienced Reception teacher within a two-form entry Reception cohort, contributing to a nurturing and engaging start to children's school journeys. The school is keen to hear from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are committed to high standards of teaching and learning, and who place children's learning, development and wellbeing at the centre of their practice.
Responsibilities
* The successful Reception Teacher will be responsible for leading a rich and engaging learning experience for their class, creating a welcoming, inclusive and well-structured classroom environment that supports all pupils to thrive.
Ideal Candidate
* Be an excellent classroom practitioner with a passion for high-quality teaching and learning
* Demonstrate high expectations of behaviour and achievement
* Have a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
* Be committed to teamwork and collaborative practice
* Have the ability to inspire and motivate children to reach their full potential
* Show initiative and determination to maximise outcomes for all pupils, including those with SEND
* Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Be able to establish a calm, organised and purposeful classroom environment
* Be able to commute to Royston
