Join to apply for the Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist role at West London NHS Trust. This post is part of the crisis assessment and home treatment team in Hounslow and sits within the psychology service.
Responsibilities
* Provide a full and comprehensive psychology service including assessment, formulation, risk assessment and brief evidence-based interventions when indicated for service users and their families.
* Offer indirect work to ensure that all members of the multidisciplinary team have access to a psychological framework for understanding the service user’s needs, including psychological advice, consultation, attendance at clinical meetings and team formulation.
* Develop the MDT’s knowledge and skills to use a psychological approach to care through teaching, training and supervision where needed.
* Supervise and line-manage the Clinical Associate in Psychology.
* Where appropriate, provide placements for trainee clinical psychologists and MSc students.
About the service
The Hounslow Crisis Assessment and Home Treatment Team provides a service for adults experiencing mental health crisis who require intensive home-based support and treatment. The service aims to prevent hospital admissions, including doing assessments and brief interventions in service users’ homes.
