Colleague Engagement Consultant – 14 months FTC
Location: Glasgow (Hybrid/Onsite – North & Scotland)
Travel: Some required
Salary: £35,000 plus benefits
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about building our future workforce. As a Colleague Engagement Consultant, you will play a key role in coaching and supporting the delivery of our apprenticeship programme while enhancing the overall colleague experience. You will be responsible for coordinating our technical apprenticeship programme across the North & Scotland region. This includes establishing a robust internal structure and working closely with external training providers to deliver an end-to-end apprenticeship experience. We are looking for someone who is passionate about attracting and developing top talent, ensuring our colleagues receive the best possible investment, helping position Volvo as an employer of choice.
Key responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with our appointed Apprentice Learning Provider and the North & Scotland Dealer Network to promote and develop competence training
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
3. Coach and support colleagues at all levels, providing guidance on development programmes
4. Identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to enhance programme delivery
5. Coordinate and deliver induction programmes for new starters
6. Track and report on KPIs and competence development metrics
7. Provide HR administrative support, including notetaking, exit interviews, data collation, and employee relations case support
8. Support internal and external events, including community and societal engagement activities
9. Monitor programme progress and proactively identify opportunities for improvement
10. Undertake any additional duties as required by your manager
Required Competencies:
11. Proven ability to work proactively and independently
12. Excellent communication skills, with confidence to challenge and provide feedback at all levels
13. Calm and effective under pressure, with a pragmatic and open approach
14. Experience gathering, analysing, and delivering complex data within tight deadlines
15. Understanding of GDPR and experience handling confidential and sensitive information
