Support and Integration Officer, WEBRECRUIT — Guardian Jobs
Our client helps people who have migrated to this country with support, advice and guidance. They are looking for a dedicated Support and Integration Officer to join them on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week.
Location: Wolverhampton
What You’ll Be Doing
* Deliver high-quality support and guidance to help service users resettle and integrate into their new communities.
* Take ownership of your caseload; conduct pre-tenancy assessments and create personalised support plans to address diverse needs.
* Provide practical advice on housing, health, education, and employment.
* Build connections with local organisations, facilitate group activities, and help individuals access wider opportunities and services.
* Make referrals to relevant departments and partner agencies.
* Maintain accurate case records and files to a high standard.
* Participate in team meetings, training, supervision, and other staff activities.
* Organise house meetings and carry out property and community visits.
What Our Client Is Looking For
* Experience of working with asylum seekers or refugees.
* Experience of providing advice and guidance, advocacy, and culturally sensitive support.
* Experience and knowledge of working with people with complex or multiple support needs.
* Ability to assess, manage and continuously review needs and risks.
* Ability to maintain accurate records and manage a caseload.
* Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* A full, valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Due to the nature of this post, an enhanced DBS check will be undertaken for successful applicants, but only with their prior consent.
