About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work under the guidance of class teachers to support pupils’ learning, social development, and inclusion. You may work with individuals, small groups, or across the whole class to support differentiated learning, promote independence, and ensure pupils engage fully with lessons.
You will play a crucial role in supporting children with additional needs, assisting with classroom management, and delivering interventions as directed by the teacher or SENCo. This role is ideal for someone patient, observant, and passionate about helping children achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant will include:
• Supporting teaching and learning across the classroom
• Working with individuals or small groups, including children with SEND or EAL
• Supporting children’s communication, social, and emotional development
• Assisting with classroom routines, transitions, and personal care if required
• Implementing strategies from Individual Education Plans (IEPs) or support plans
• Observing, recording, and reporting on pupil progress
• Promoting independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
• Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCo, and other staff
• Supporting the development of inclusive classroom practices
• Ensuring safeguarding, health, and safety procedures are followed
