The last couple of years has seen Linaker grow exponentially and 2025 is no exception. Our client base continues to grow month on month and as a result we are now looking for a Quote Coordinator to join our team!
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Quote Coordinator will be a key member of the helpdesk team, responsible for managing all quoted works within the business. This role ensures that all quotes are accurately prepared, presented to clients in a timely manner, tracked through to approval, and executed efficiently. The coordinator will also provide insightful analysis on approval rates, margins, and reasons for declined quotes, offering recommendations to improve overall performance.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
* Coordinate all quoted works across the helpdesk, from initial request to client presentation and approval tracking.
* Liaise with engineers, managers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and pricing for quotations.
* Ensure quotes are completed with accuracy and in accordance with client requirements and SLA timeframes.
* Submit quotes to clients in a timely and professional manner and follow up on approvals.
* Track the status of all quotes and ensure approved works are progressed efficiently, coordinating with relevant teams for timely delivery.
* Monitor and report on the conversion rate of quotes (approved vs. submitted).
* Analyse reasons for non-approval of quotes and identify trends or areas for improvement.
* Work with the technical and operations teams to improve quote quality, pricing accuracy, and win rates.
* Prepare and present weekly/monthly performance reports to management.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives related to the quoting process.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
* Good basic written and numerical skills and comfortable working with Microsoft office.
* Exceptional customer interaction skills, quick thinking and an enthusiastic person who is a confident communicator.
* Ideally experience of working in a fast-paced helpdesk.
* A bonus would be if you have experience working for a service provider with an understanding of SLAs, KPIs, compliance, quote turnaround etc. (not a dealbreaker if you dont).
* Previous experience of working to deadlines and multitask.
* A background / understanding of general engineering practices (a nice to have but not essential).
* A natural problem solver, who thrives under pressure. Can stay cool and calm in the face of adversity and can demonstrate empathy when overcoming challenges.
* Strong relationship management skills internal and external.
Desirable
* Understanding of quoting processes and cost estimation principles
* Experience working in a helpdesk or operational coordination environment
* Knowledge of commercial terms and service-level agreements (SLAs) is beneficial
