We are working with a well-established and growing boutique law firm specialising in Family and Conveyancing matters. The firm is recognised for delivering a high standard of client care while maintaining a supportive and professional working environment.
Due to continued expansion, the firm is seeking an experienced Family Paralegal to join its busy Family Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional looking to develop their career within a collaborative and forward-thinking practice.
The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of privately funded and legally aided family matters while working closely with experienced fee earners and legal professionals.
Typical duties for the role will include:
* Managing a varied caseload of family matters including divorce, finance, private children, public children, Non-Molestation Orders, and Occupation Orders.
* Assisting solicitors with ongoing family law matters from inception through to conclusion.
* Drafting legal documents including witness statements, client care letters, and court forms.
* Liaising with clients, counsel, courts, and third parties professionally and efficiently.
* Navigating the Legal Aid Agency portal and handling legal aid applications and processes.
* Using the HMCTS portal for case management and filings.
* Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
* Supporting the wider team to deliver an excellent standard of client service.
The successful candidate will have:
* A minimum of 1 year’s experience within Family Law.
* Experience handling legally aided family matters.
* Strong working knowledge of the Legal Aid portal and HMCTS systems.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and drafting skills.
* Strong IT proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and case management systems.
* The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
* Excellent attention to detail and a professional approach to client care.
* A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well within a team.
* Additional language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.
