Administrator – Safeguarding and Children in Care

As an Administrator you will be part of our valued team based at Epping or Basildon. You will support the Safeguarding and Children in Care teams, ensuring efficient administration and compliance with national and organisational policies.

Main Responsibilities

* Support the departmental lead in the day‑to‑day running of the team, ensuring compliance with procedures, policies and audit requirements.
* Carry out general office duties (filing, faxing, photocopying, collating, distributing information, mail handling, resource preparation, archiving, stationery management, report preparation, data spreadsheet maintenance).
* Act as the initial point of contact for telephone calls, e‑mails and messages, some of which may be complex or contain sensitive information.
* Assist in planning and organising meetings, workshops, training and events – including agenda setting, room bookings, hospitality and minute taking.
* Maintain the children in care and safeguarding working groups, ensuring arrangements requested by the chairs are in place and materials circulated.
* Attend and minute children in care and safeguarding case meetings/interviews on occasion, recording discussions and decisions for relevant participants or for general distribution.


Ideal Candidate

* Outstanding organisational skills, self‑initiative, calm and efficient manner when dealing with staff, service users, colleagues and visitors.
* Strong information and communication skills with a willingness to develop expertise in IT systems to support the clinical team.
* Ability to work independently, using initiative and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
